Blue439 Foundation

Established in 2014, the Blue439 Foundation is committed to innovation by developing concepts able to investigate modern and contemporary art, while exploring ideas across cultures through events, exhibitions and digital platforms. 

Executive Staff

Marco Nember (Brescia, 1977) is founder and director of Blue439 Foundation.
He's based in Amsterdam since May 2009. He collaborated with Italiaans Cultureel Instituut (Amsterdam), Goethe Institut Niederlande (Amsterdam), Kunsthuis SYB (Beetsterzwaag), Kunstverein (Amsterdam and Milan), Vlaams Cultuurhuis De Brakke Grond (Amsterdam), De Appel Arts Centre PS (Amsterdam), De School (Amsterdam), WOW (Amsterdam), Corridor PS (Amsterdam) and Museum Beelden aan Zee (Den Haag). From April 2014 to October 2019 he curated a video art program with related artist talks at the Italiaans Cultureel Instituut in Amsterdam.
Jorn Fokkens (s'-Gravenhage, 1971) and Jonathan Oudendijk (Amsterdam, 1984) were appointed respectively as treasurer and secretary of the Foundation in November 2014. Pierfrancesco Gava (Recanati, 1972) has been appointed as the foundation's new secretary in February 2019.
